Commentary for World War II

If you can’t solve problems with peace, you can never solve with war. The statement I just spoke is my favourite proverb and I agree to it because it makes a lot of sense to me. Hello! I am Tien Pao and I am a survivor from World War 2. When I was about 7 years old, the World War 2 struck China. My family was homeless and I was separated from my family and this is going to be my topic to be my topic for this commentary.
First I would like to talk about my experience. I was separated from my family and I was left starving for days. I think my own experience was very harsh for a kid aged liked me, that’s why I don’t like the concept of wars. I feel war doesn’t solve your problems, but includes more problems and pressure on you.
Next I would like to talk about the war itself and how much destruction happened. I lived in a small river town called Hengyang and few days later, it was a burned town. In a few days the whole town was burned. Many family were homeless and had no belonging left. I think this is not fair for the Chinese as their motherland was being dominated.
My experience was not so different with the other families abroad. When I went to America the next month after war. Many families were still separated and many were homeless and without food. It wasn’t a big difference to which the Japanese have done to China and America, but America’s condition was still better. I believe America’s condition was better because their government helped them financially and socially.
Once again, I believe that war was useless because it didn’t solve any of their problems. Therefore, we should now solve problems with peace because war brings a very harsh experience towards the younger generation. I would like to end by saying my favourite proverb again: If you can’t solve problems with peace, you can never solve with war.
